How to do a manicure at home
Supplies
- Nail Polish Remover
- Nail cutter
- Nail file
- Shampoo
- Rock salt / Bath salt
- Cuticle cream
- Cuticle pusher
- Hand cream
Method
- Remove previously applied nail polish.
What ever the nail polish remover you use, it extremely dry entire nail area as well as the cuticle. So when you use nail polish remover us very little as necessary to remove the polish and wipe it out as quick as possible
- Cut off or file your nails into a shape.
Do not cut your nails too short. Use a nail file to file the nails and create a smooth and clean shape.

- Soak your nails.
Get a bowl and
fill it with warm (not hot!) water, a few drops of shampoo and rock salt(or bath salt). Soak your
hands only for a few minutes. The water and soap will help to loosen
dirt, dead skin, and any dust left over from filing and buffing, and
soften cuticles.
Use a nail brush to gently clean your nails and the
skin around them. Gently scrape under your nails if necessary to remove
dirt.
- Prepare your cuticles.
Dry your nails and apply a
cuticle cream. Using a cuticle pusher gently push back the cuticle. Never cut your
cuticles.
- Apply hand cream or lotion.
Take a lotion or hand
cream and massage it into your hands.
